Gator has recently been upgraded, to increase power from 150hp to 300hp, with telemetry upgrades also in progress.

Ideal for working in confined spaces, Gator’s long umbilical (approx 800 metres) allows her to use minimal ship movements on post lay burial.

Gator also has a diver driving station, allowing hand control to a diving operative. With this system a diver can position the machine on the beach whilst the mother ship remains in open water, removing the need for diver burial in the shallows.
